Cattle Barons Ball

Benefiting the
Cattle Barons Ball

Volunteer

The first Cattle Baron’s Ball in Wichita Falls was held in 1992 and raised $210,000 for the American Cancer Society to fund research, education and service programs. Every other year since 1992, this signature fundraising event has continued to grow because of hundreds of volunteers and the generosity of our donors and underwriters.

The 2014 Cattle Baron’s Ball netted nearly $430,000 and it is our goal to raise at least half a million dollars in 2016.

There are an estimated 13.7 million cancer survivors in the U.S. today. Ground breaking research by the American Cancer Society has led to cancer cures, better treatments and declining cancer death rates.

In 2014, the American Cancer Society provided information and services to 228 Wichita Falls residents alone. Of those, 154 were newly diagnosed and 32 were uninsured or on Medicaid/Medicare.

With your support, we will continue to fight this disease.
